I approached Plimsoll on a Sunday afternoon, after searching online for a relevant company to potentially value my business. Plimsoll offered to send me a sample report (which any potential customer could use to assess the nature of the full report) which they did, early on the Monday morning. The report was followed up with a call from Kevin Solomon, one of the Plimsoll analysts, and I reviewed this very comprehensive sample report and discussed my requirements with him. Kevin was very approachable and quickly understood my requirements. We discussed specific matters relating to my business and I duly appointed Plimsoll to undertake the valuation of my business. To support the valuation process, I supplied relevant accounting information and also some ‘non standard’ further accounting and sales information which enabled Plimsoll to build their informed valuation. I contracted for their four day turnaround for the delivery of the report and it actually arrived within three days! After reviewing the very detailed report, I spoke with Kevin on the phone about a required change of emphasis within some of the text and within 24 hours I received the final version.
