General search tips

Searches on www.plimsoll.co.uk are not case sensitive. Using capital or lower case letters will not affect the results.

Using " " marks will return no results.


Can't find what you are looking for?

Check the spelling of the company you are searching for. Also bear in mind that commonly used abbreviations such as M&S, BHS will be listed in their entirety, eg. Marks and Spencer, British Home Stores.

Consider searching for your industry under a different name. Footwear retailers, for example, may be listed as Shoe Shops. Try searching under 'vehicle repairers'  rather than 'car repairers', for example.

Try widening your search. For Watersports Equipment Manufacturers, for example, try simply, Watersports.

If you are not sure what you are looking for, try searching on part of the word. Entering the first three letters of any company or industry report title will return results.

Too many results?

Try to be as specific as possible. Rather than searching just for 'manufacturers', 'retailers' or 'contractors', specify the industry you are interested in.
